Google has added new direct message feature in the Google Maps app which will let users to connect directly to the business profile users via message. Yes, this new option allows to send direct message to the business profile owners right from your Google Maps app.

As per the Google's announcement, Latest update from Play Store will give the message sending feature, but I tried updating my app from the play store but I didn't found any thing. My Google maps version  is v10.3.1. So, this new feature is now not available for all countries yet.

Later, I tried to download the latest update from APKmirror, where I found v10.3.2 update. Which still don't have this new feature. So you need to wait for it.

How Google Maps new Direct message feature works?

As per the sources, we found that you can send messages to only merchants who enabled the message feature from their business account.

Google's Blog post include this : "You'll see your messages with the businesses you connect with via 'Business Profiles' in the side menu, within the Google Maps app on both, Android, as well as iOS devices," Aditya Tendulkar, Product Manager, Maps, Google, wrote in a blog post on 14 November.



Business Owners can enable this feature by installing the latest My Business app from the Play Store.

Last year, Google added message feature for selected countries which was available for business profiles only. Google, allowed them to send messages to businesses without having to make a phone call. As this new feature rolls out on Maps, Google users in other countries worldwide would be able to chat with businesses for the very first time.

So it's yet not confirmed that which update contain this new feature. We will add that details soon here in this post.
